Bertie Ball was born in Kingston Lisle in April 1890. His parents, John and Matilda had at least 7 children, including his younger brother Percival who also died in WW1. His father, John, worked as a groom.
Bertie was a private in the Army Service Corps and died on 4 March 1915.
