Reginald was born in Sparsholt around 1897 and worked as a labourer before the war. His mother Sarah died when he was a child, and his father George brought up their 5 children, including his younger brother Frederick who also died in WW1
Reginald enlisted in Newport and was a guardsman in the Grenadier Guards. He died on 14 January 1918 in Flanders.
