Coronation Events

We are holding a Coronation Day celebration day lunch at the Blowingstone Pub on Saturday 6th May at 1.30 pm. There will also be a Ceilidh band so after a few drinks …. Get your dancing shoes on!!

We’ll hold the lunch in the front of the pub if it has stopped raining by then and the BEST NEWS is it is FREE to everyone living in this parish! Johnnie Graham from the Parish Council applied for a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund and we were the only village around that was awarded £3,000 for our celebrations, so thanks to both Johnnie and the lottery!

The pub will serve a very traditional menu of pie and chips and puddings and two
free drinks to each person. To get a place you must apply to the Parish Council (kingstonlisle.pc@gmail.com) as soon as possible (at least by 30th April) and we will deliver tokens for a free lunch and two drinks with tokens that you hand in on the day. Each person in the family including children will have their own tokens.

If anyone has family outside the village who want to join – of course they can – but please let us know the numbers and you will need to pay for them.

The pub will be showing the Coronation all morning so you can arrive in time to watch or come at 1.30 for the lunch.
